Thanks for your interest in our challenge!

The judges have declared a winner! The "superimpose weather warnings onto your Smart TV" idea, submitted by Todd Stone, will now be taken on by members of the Dallas Makerspace Civic Hacking Committee as a development project for the next several months.

It was tough to drum up local participation on such short notice and with all sorts of other events going on this time of year. Due to the lack of in-person demonstrations of working projects, the rules were amended such that people could submit ideas for further exploration by the Dallas Makerspace Civic Hacking Committee, as this would be a more useful way to see the idea come to fruition.

The ideas have been posted (many of them "ad hoc" by me, as I was often emailed personally as opposed to interested parties actually posting themselves). Thanks for your interest! Hopefully at least one of these ideas will provide inspiration for a compelling application to solve problems with emergency & weather-related notifications.
